How is a Mesebefőtt made?

1. You choose the story

You decide what you would like to read. It can be a favourite children’s story, an old family story, or anything else you would like to preserve in your own voice.

2. We arrange the details

We get in touch and decide when and where the recording will take place. It can be at your home, at Grandma’s, or even at Dad’s workplace – you give me the address, and I come to you.*

* There is no travel fee within Budapest. Outside Budapest, an individual travel fee applies depending on the location.

3. I come to you

I arrive at the agreed time with all the recording equipment we need. We get to know each other, and I explain how the recording will work. Then we find a quiet place where you can read comfortably.

There’s no big crew, no cameras and no distracting lights. Just the storyteller, the story and me.

4. We record

Time to start telling the story. You don’t have to read perfectly. If you make a mistake, stumble over a word, cough or want to start a sentence again, that’s absolutely fine. We stop and simply carry on when you’re ready.

In fact, if you like, we can keep some of those little imperfections – they can make the story feel even more natural.

Throughout the recording, I take care of the sound, so all you need to think about is the story.

5. I make your Mesebefőtt

After the recording, I carefully edit and clean up the audio. I remove anything you don’t want to keep, balance the levels, and prepare the finished version.

I send the finished audio files to you by email , so you can easily download and save them.
